CARVINGS
As a former tree surgeon and being generally known to be 'good with my hands', I was asked one day to carve something...so I gave it a go...and the rest, as they say, is history! All my carvings are unique as they respond to the individual characteristics of the wood from which they are carved. For your personalised design and quotation, please get in touch here, but please read the following for some initial guidance:

Carving at festivals: festivals have their own set policies and restrictions, so please make yourself aware of these prior to getting in touch.
Carving at open days/charity events: 25% of my sales go to the charity concerned; on top of this, the piece I carve on the day (usually a moon hare as they are popular) is raffled off throughout the day, with 60% of the takings also going to charity. Tickets sold at £5.00 per strip.

The ability to execute some designs within a specific timeframe may depend on what wood is available at the time.
All sculptures are treated with a generic wood treatment to inhibit rot, fungal growth and insect attack and then sprayed with transparent decking oil. If required, sculptures can be varnished (external grade varnish) for the additional cost of the varnish.

If you require carving on site, some trees will not be suitable, examples being; rotten trees, trees that have been down and dead a long time, certain timbers that have a 'shattering' effect when they crash to the ground, such as ash and sweet chestnut.
